Marine Radiography

International Inspection utilizes Iridium 192 and portable x-ray to perform inspections on various items to determine weld quality.  Most common are pipe welds during repairs or new build, as well as plate inserts on vessel deck and hull.

Other inspections where radiography can be used include:

  • Radiographic profile shots of pipeline welds to determine internal weld erosion from product.
  • Radiography of insulated pipe to determine wall thickness without removal of insulation.
  • Boiler tube welds.
  • X-ray of wooden yacht hulls to locate and determine condition of keel bolts.
